Piedmont Hazelnut
The hazelnuts for this schnapps are cultivated in Italy’s Piedmont region. They are toasted and chopped to release their full aroma. Piedmont hazelnuts are slightly larger in size than the common hazelnut. They are a bit edgier and have a more earthy, intense and robust flavor. On closer inspection, it seems as if the hazelnut from Piedmont has a bit more muscle – not only in terms of aroma but also in terms of appearance. Appropriately, the label also depicts Fräulein Brösel as an adult.
This schnapps is made according to the spirit production method. First, the nuts are toasted, then soaked in alcohol (macerated) and after several months the mixture is distilled.
This schnapps has 35% alcohol volume, which allows the variety of flavors to excite and linger on the palate.
We use only the pure fruit, no artificial flavors or colorings.
