This small exceptionally delicious autumn apple stands out with its deep red color and its wonderfully juicy, floral flavor.

It is a rather old, almost forgotten variety that can still be found today in the Altes Land region, as well as in Denmark and Sweden.

In 1910, a teacher in Denmark discovered this then-unknown variety by chance, hidden behind raspberry bushes, and named it after his daughter, Ingrid Marie.

The apple is a cross between Cox Orange and Cox Pomona.

We source our Ingrid Marie apples from close friends and fruit growers in Malmö, Sweden – the wonderful people of Fruktstereo. Their old orchards are beautifully situated, facing directly toward the sea, creating an incredibly picturesque landscape.
Fruktstereo are well known far beyond Sweden for their exceptional ciders and, in recent years, have also begun cultivating wine alongside quinces, pears, and apples.

Apple distillate aged in Mezcal barrel

The small oak cask, previously seasoned with mezcal, originates from Oaxaca, Mexico.
We aged the distillate in it for 1 year and 3 months.

The gently smoky notes form a beautiful harmony with the apple’s floral, ripe, and full-bodied aroma and flavor.
It is as if Ingrid Marie were embracing the mezcal cask, performing a delicate dance of aromas.

On the palate, it is soft and buttery, subtly smoky, with a very fine texture.
All elements come together in perfect harmony – a composition that lingers on and on.

This small, special bottling, which is very close to our hearts and was created with great love and passion for nature as well as for unique casks, is limited to just 95 bottles of 0.5l.

This process is based on mashing the fruit before distillation.

We use only pure, fully ripe, healthy apples; no artificial flavours or colourings added.
